Not bad, pretty nice game modes. I recommend to overwork the menu design a bit more. It is not clearly enough where to switch to the mainmenu and to other screens at the first time. Also a in-game help would raise your score. The next part I recommend is to polish the graphics up.

I see much potential in this game, it could easily get 6-7/10 Stars when you rework the graphics.
The music isn't annoying to me cause it fits to the game.

You can combine your existing achievment values to let the player get newgrounds achievements.

Just keep a bit working, the jam has not ended yet.

Good but not perfect

I enjoyed playing your game, but there are some flaws that decreased my enthusiasm.

1. When 500 vs 500 sprites are battling and you scoll to the field where most of them are seen, than the game lags (i have a relatively fast connection and PC, so i wonder how others play the game in that situation)

2. Some animations seem to be defect, cause sometimes i see troops just sliding towards the battlefield, and are not animated.

3. The graphics don't have a high quality (especially the troops), i know from other games that you can do this better. The pirates graphics don't fit into the game

4. Having ranged troops is a major advantage, until the enemy has more upgrades, so it is a bit pointless in buying melee troops.

5. A very small point ;). There are some spelling errors (e.g. batttle)

6. The pirates are extremely overpowered at the end, i have unlocked every troop and upgraded them (level 10, 10 ,15, 25 from above) and yet i cannot win a defence againt their attack (result 0 vs 455) and they always win the battle, thats a bit strange, cause if this continues i can not get enough money to upgrade all troops to win a single battle against them, until they conquer all the maps.
=> They should be overpowered in their island, but when they attack on the mainland, they shouldn't be unstoppable.

I hope this helps a bit, cause there is a great potential that should be used.

I rated it 5/5 8/10 cause for the effort put in the game.

Its a nice concept that i haven't seen before, except in version 1.

I like it very much, but you could improve the gameplay a bit more.

Here are some ideas that come through my mind:
1. Campaign mode, where you can play different levels with difficulties.
2. 2 player mode (internet or just on the same pc)
3. More leveldesigns and playergraphics
4. Challenge mode (where you must achieve a special duty to win the game, like.. "be the first one who gets 20 coins" or "don't get a negative coin")
5. Time based mode

Hope these ideas help you a bit :) for maybe your 3. version

Design is good, but no gameplay?

It is strange, but after the processing, when the first line hits the buttons, the game ends and i see the result screen. Is this a bug or just a problem with my browser (firefox 6)? Or maybe a problem with the vid on my country which were blocked by YT?

The other thing that could be fixed, is the music in the mainmenu which is very quiet.

Sry for the low rating, but i give it a 7 cause i like the design and the idea of integrating YT videos into the gameplay.

Very good, with the need of some improvements.

It is a nice TD game, but there are some small things that should be improved.

1. A sience facility where you can upgrade your income, lower the costs of your troops/turrents and unlock the things on point 2.

2. Some passive weapons like mines, energy nets (stop enemies for a while, or some rays that slow them down.

(Optional and only a wish ;) ) 3. I miss some twists in the campaign, where aliens or original inhabitans try to stop the colonists on both sides, but maybe there will be one at all, i haven't had the time to complete the game, but will catch up to do this.

Other than that its very nice to play. :)

Good addition to the Castaway series!

Graphics and gameplay were very good.

I have nothing bad to say, just some improvements that make the game a bit better:

- Some level in older areas were harder than others in newer areas, which was a bit confusing.
- The achievement-popup repeates, for example the money achievement. When i get it, it shouldn't appear the next time, cause i already have it.
- In my opinion some skills could be improved somehow (walking speed + range for collecting stuff) cause i only find the money, gem and less building time skills usefull. The defense skill is not very usefull, i could collect the money i lost directly when i was hit. I don't know if it was a bug.
- A mana recovery skill or more common all skills from the pets should be able to improve with points to compensate the choice of the pets abilities.

Nice gameplay!

There is nothing bad to say, the puzzles are well made and challenging.

There are only some things I wish to see in some future "test subject" projects, like some enemies that follow the blue enzyme with a weapon or a hand teleporter or moving teleporter that can not be reached every time or an other special enzyme that is like the blue one as a boss.

Nice game with good physics and graphics!

I couldn't manage to find the last berry, but if anyone is interested, you can see a walkthrough on youtube with the searchtags xany journey chapter. Don't want to link the vids, cause i don't know if its ok.

By the way, the graphics were nice and the gameplay nearly perfect. The game was quite challenging at some parts and there was a berry with ninja skills that i couldn't manage to find ;) I'm looking forward for chapter 2.
