Interesting tunes. The surprising part is, that I totally got another feeling of the picture than I got by only seeing it. You changed my interpretation of the picture into a slight sad one, where the couple wants to reach the stars or try to get bach to their home planet.

SourJovis responds:

The song turned out a little more sad than I intended. (probably because the girl I dedicated this to just told me she didn't want to go to the Efteling (a theme park) with me). The instruments aren't necessarily appropriate for the painting, because the painting is made on an actual canvas, as opposed to most of the work on Newgrounds, which is digital, yet I use only synthetic instruments. That's all just a bit of artistic freedom I guess.

Amazing song, full of atmosphere, with a touch of sadness. Great work. Would fit into an RPG very well.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Oh, hi again satyre! Thanks for leaving a review on THIS song :'D!

Good job on sensing the sadness too. If I redid this with better instruments, better automation and I added some stuff, I think this might really be a pretty good song, and might consider using it in a game :) So basically, if I followed all of Sir Step's advice, this would be an even better composition XD

Sounds funny and it fits the game as well. Great job.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks a lot. That's what I was going for. The other people who worked at the game were pleased with it as well.

Sweet song. If definitively has your special style. I can somehow understand DonVince's commentary, I somehow had the same feelings when hearing the song for the first time. Surprisingly the feelings changed by hearing it the second time, in a good way :D
It also perfectly fits with the description of your song. It has some calm parts, some sad tunes and some hopeful tunes, which can give me a good clue what experience you could have in 2013. Great job!

VideoGameManiac responds:

Thanks, glad you also felt that way :D

Has a nice dark touch. I had the same feeling hearing it like hearing the song from U2 "Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me". Great work.

SourJovis responds:

Hadn't made the connection between this song and the U2 song yet. But I'm glad it made you feel the same way. Perhaps that means I'll get famous as well :P

Great cover. The original has an epic theme and this one seems to fit nice as an ending sequence theme, when the game ends and all heros were glorious and are dancing at the INN.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks Satyre! I'd wish this could be used in Castle Crashers. Perhaps in a sequel.

This one sounds like someone is hitting a Pinnata and all the different candies are bubbling out and have different sizes and colors and of course tastes. I like the diversity of melodies you used :). Very well done.

VideoGameManiac responds:

I cant explain how much I love the creativity of your review xd
Thanks!

Great arrangement, it has the right choice of instruments and amount of reverbed tunes, to give you some goosebumps remermbering the good old days :) Maybe I'll find some place for it for the jump'n'run as some kind of foreshadowing tune and animation like in Lufia 2 at the ending scene.

SourJovis responds:

You could do that if you find a place for it. Btw do you also need music for the big project you use the same mechanics for? I may be able to do something for that as wel.

Very relaxing. It's like Samus is closing her eyes and thinking about her last missions. Would also fit nicely as a credit theme.

Wow, I didn't recognised the song until 0:30. You used a very special setting for this remix, which I didn't hear in other remixes. Very well done :)

And strangly somehow I imagine a japanese cat version of the game when hearing your remix xD

VideoGameManiac responds:

thats what a remix is all about, even tho I dont think I changed much of it xd, glad you enjoyed!
