Interesting work. It would fit perfectly into a future sequel of Kosmisch Intermezzo.
I also like the style. I'm thinking of a dark setting in an french movie like "The Suicide Shop" or a Tim Burton film when hearing it.

SourJovis responds:

Thank you. It sounds quite like Kosmisch Intermezzo in terms of mood and style. The major difference is probably the instrumentation. This is all synthetic, Kosmisch Intermezzo was 8-bit with acoustic instruments. But you can hear this song could've been played with the same instruments as Kosmisch Intermezzo as well. With more acoustic instruments it would've fitted a French film or something by Tim Burton yeah. I saw The Suicide Shop about a year ago. I thought it was very good. I also like Tim Burton's films. Especially the old ones.

The song is very interesting. I like the style, it reminds me of the old Diddy Kong Racing music, which is good :D

The only thing that could be changed is the constant tune, that can be heard the whole song. I think it is a bit distracting from the other parts.

Good luck with the contest.

I don't know why, but I was amused by leaving the drone going. It's probably pretty annoying to most listeners hehe.
Thanks for the review!

I haven't seen the series, but the story seems to be similar to the film, the 6th day, especially the cloning / memory thing.

If I'm not mistaken, the song itself sounds like it would fit into one of the 80s kung fu films.
Don't know why I got that feeling :D

Good luck for the second round.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks. It does sound similar to the 6th day, though I've never actually seen that film. But this series was about to 10 years older. It was ahead of its time. Or maybe not, but it just used a lot of different ideas. Like the world the secret weapons (I forgot their names) live in was artificial, which reminded me of the Matrix. Since they were stronger than ordinary humans the world around them was made with stronger and heavier materials than were used in the real world. Because they aged slower than humans, all people around them were constantly replaced by fresh clones to make it seem they aged at the same speed. These people were also made stronger using alien cells. The weapons also had bondages around their muscles and parasites in their body to make them weaker. It always made me think this could be going on in the real world because if it happens to you, you just wouldn't know. But that's the theme of many movies. I'd jst never seen so many things combined in one series. Perhaps the lack of focus and money to realize all of those ideas was why it was canceled.
The music would also fit a 80s Kung Fu movie. That was the style I was going for.

Sounds very relaxing and intuitive. Would surely fit great in an animation movie with magic gloves like your description mention. The next part would be a more logical and stict piano solo from the second glove :D, and then the both gloves would play together.

VideoGameManiac responds:

oh you gave me a nice idea there, like doing a second one and then mixing it with this one together :O
thanks for stomping by xd

Sounds much clearer and less annoying than the original. Good addition of the main instruments at 1:33.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks. Yeah the original sounds rather messy. Some snes games have that. The sound chip settings and/or samples aren't optimal. Some of the Skyblazer songs sound as if they weren't even finished. Maybe time restrictions or it's because the snes can handle only 8 audio tracks at ones (including sfx) so they couldn't use all the instruments they wanted. Looking back at this arrangement it's not the best thing I ever made, I even thought so at the time, but nothing I make is ever as good as I intend. I just keep on learning.

Sounds nice. I think I heard 3 different music elements, with asian and spanish parts, interesting combination. :)

VideoGameManiac responds:

Thanks! I somehow have troubles defining my own music xd

Great work! Would perfectly fit into the Rockman X series.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks. Nice you think so.

I have no words :D, just don't stop making music.

VideoGameManiac responds:

Music runs through my veins, without music I cannot live xd

Great song, it would also fit into a submarine scene. It's very relaxing.

VideoGameManiac responds:

thank you :D

Really good, I like the idea of the dancing contest without weapons.

For sure they will be very exhausted at the end.

The one with the black dragon mask, or the one with the white dragon mask...

They dance in a circle to symbolize yin and yang... Who might win? ;)

VideoGameManiac responds:

ty and great idea :D
